Daylighting

Daylighting refers to the use of light from Sun to meet some of the lighting requirements at home. It is the practice of placing windows, or other transparent media, and reflective surfaces so that, during the day, natural light provides effective internal illumination to the house. Rarely will daylighting provide all the lights required (moreso, there is no natural light at night). However, it can supplement the light needs of the house, thereby reducing energy costs.
