The
process converts biomass feedstocks such as forest and agricultural
wastes, into a liquid biofuel that generates renewable heat and power or
can upgraded to green transportation fuels. RTP is currently in use in
seven commercial plants in the U.S. and Canada and there are several new
projects in development around the world.
Position
Responsibilities:
·
Deliver the sales results
consistent with the company expectations for North America
·
Develop the technical
knowledge required to represent the Envergent portfolio to outside clients
·
As the face to the
customer, ensure the Envergent technology is positioned effectively versus
the competition while delivering the maximum value to the customer
·
Manage the sales process
with the customer from the initial engagement through to contract
negotiation and execution
·
Coordinate and manage sales
activity through the parent organization channels
·
Develop and maintain an
in-depth knowledge of government legislation and its influence on the
renewable energy market
·
Update/maintain sales
forecast
·
Prepare commercial
proposals
·
Generate presentations as
well as initial and subsequent drafts of the requisite agreements
·
Lead customer meetings for
bid clarifications, technology updates, proposal review and general
positioning of respective technologies
·
Develop innovative
solutions to sales opportunities
·
Meet commitments of quality
and schedule for all assignments
·
Provide support to Business
Development Director in analyzing competitive intelligence, positioning
Envergent's technical offering, preparing and presenting conference
information, preparing and updating technical data sheets
·
Take an active role in
Sales, Marketing, R&D and Technical Service teams and projects related to
sales, technology offering and technology improvements
Basic Qualifications:
·
Undergraduate Chemical or
Mechanical degree required
·
Minimum 8 years sales
experience in long sales cycle industrial oriented processes
·
Strong knowledge of capital
project development and investment criteria
Additional Qualifications:
·
Proven experience working
with multi-faceted groups such as biomass owners, project developers,
financial institutions, and/or large multi-national pulp & paper companies
a plus
·
Proven communication skills
both written and verbal
·
Ability to understand and
discuss complex technology at a high level
·
Working knowledge of
technical sections of agreements, basic financial analysis
·
Experience of refinery
processing and operations a plus
·
Working knowledge of the
biofuel sector
·
Ability to use and
understand complex financial models to determine a project's economic
return
·
Ability to travel up to 40%
domestically with the potential for some international travel
·
Ability to work in a fast
paced, rapidly changing and sometimes unstructured environment
·
Proven ability to
prioritize work and drive multiple activities in parallel.
