PROJECT MANAGER #W7842

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT, ROADS BRANCH

Full-Time, Salary $78,432 - $92,228 annually

Under the direction of the Manager, Engineering, responsible to plan and implement capital projects as part of the 10-year Capital program and to provide project management services for environmental assessments, and design and construction of bridges, roads, storm sewers, watermains, sanitary sewers, pumping stations and treatment facilities.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Successful completion of a University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers Ontario.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience (inclusive of E.I.T. experience) in any or all aspects of bridge, road, storm sewer, watermain, sanitary sewer, pumping station as well as water and wastewater treatment plant design, with demonstrated commitment to design quality and process as well as complex project management experience.

  • A valid Ontario Class “G” drivers licence and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, team work, initiative/self management, leadership, accountability, and flexibility/adaptability.

  • Demonstrated project management skills to lead a project or work group, organize numerous tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Computer literacy utilizing MS Office applications in a windows environment.

  • Ability to negotiate/facilitate and present information to varied audiences.

  • Ability to apply sound customer service strategies and innovation in product delivery methods.

  • Ability to identify areas for constructive change and communicate issues and potential solutions to management.

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as required.
