Officer – Chihuahuan Desert Program

Working
under the supervision of the Chihuahuan Desert Program Director, the
candidate will lead the implementation of program conservation goals,
objectives, and strategies in the Northern Chihuahuan Desert and
coordinate U.S. and joint Mexico/U.S. conservation action in the
Chihuahuan Desert, build support for the program by developing new
partnerships and fundraising proposals with corporations, private
foundations and/or government agencies, and manage communication
activities in support of conservation goals.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required and graduate degree is
preferred in business or a field directly relevant to natural resource
management or conservation. Technical proficiency or significant
understanding of conservation and natural-resource issues. At least 5
years professional experience with preferably some experience in the
Chihuahuan region. Fluency in English and Spanish required. Demonstrated
success in managing and interacting with multi-disciplinary teams.
Relevant work experience may be substituted for higher academic
qualifications.
