Global Compact+15: Business as a Force for Good

From Jun 23, 2015 to Jun 25, 2015

Over 500 participants from Global Compact Local Networks, companies, investors, academia, civil society, labor and UN private sector representatives are expected to mark the UN Global Compact's 15th anniversary. The conference will bring business and civil society together at the UN to illustrate how the private sector is taking action and partnering to advance societal priorities, emphasizing, in particular, the UN's post-2015 sustainable development agenda and the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

On 24 June, participants will meet in small focused meetings to address such issues as human rights, anti-corruption and partnerships, to determine how their work already is and can better contribute to achieving the SDGs. On 25 June, a plenary session will convene in the UN General Assembly Hall to showcase to governments the private sector's important role in addressing the challenges the world is facing and how the Global Compact's work is "at the heart of the UN agenda".
