IPCC 40

The 40th session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 40) will be held to adopt the Fifth Assessment Review (AR5) Synthesis Report and approve its Summary for Policy Makers. Subsequently, in December 2014, a copy of the Synthesis Report will be presented to the 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 20) to the UNFCCC.
The Working Group I (WGI) contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report provides a comprehensive assessment of the physical science basis of climate change in 14 chapters, supported by a number of annexes and supplementary material.
The Working Group Reports and Synthesis Report will be completed in 2013/2014. The Fifth Assessment Report will be considered by the Panel according to the following timetable:
| Working Group I (Stockholm, Sweden) | 23-26 September 2013 |
| Working Group II (Yokohama, Japan) | 25-29 March 2014 |
| Working Group III (Berlin, Germany) | 7-12 April 2014 |
| Synthesis Report (Copenhagen, Denmark) | 27-31 October 2014 |
